That's because we have custom
built our own private, high speed residential network , the largest and fastest
you'll find anywhere in northern Michigan.
How did we accomplish this ?
For starters we crawled through our attics, drilled down, and "fished"
over 10 miles of network cable inside our buildings in order to provide a
dedicated internet connection for each apartment and suite. Each building
also received a high speed network switch.
We also pulled and installed over 9,000 feet of fiber optic cable and deployed several wireless bridges to create our network "backbone" that connects our buildings directly to the internet.
What does this mean for you ?
You get quick, easy, convenient access to the internet.
Getting started is nice and simple. As our Resident you can readily use
our system - we provide a network cable for your computer to plug into your apt
wall jack. Most computers nowadays have a network card built
in. If your computer doesn't, we'll even provide & install a network
card for you at no charge.

Tourville has multiple high speed circuits to bring the internet to our Residents.
Two of our feeds are pure T1 lines, 1.5 Mb each. Nationwide, most home internet users would give their eye teeth to have access to a T1 connection.
.....and it gets even better :
We've recently added a pure dedicated fiber optic circuit that comes from the internet straight to our doorstep. This speed is currently 5 Mb and as you probably know, fiber has the ability to add tons more bandwidth should we choose to get more. We are truly unique having this capability in a residential setting. No where in the U.P. and I venture to say most of lower Michigan will you find this.
Putting it all together, these three internet circuits come into our main office. We combine them to give you a truly unique and reliable high speed link to the internet.
How do you benefit ?
In addition to the unmatched speed we described, the uniqueness of having three
different circuits also gives you a safety net - should one carrier go down
temporarily, our network hardware can switch us to another circuit.
And we take responsibility for the quality of our internet connection. So
if you ever have any internet connection problems, you can call us. We're
right here on-site and we are dedicated to keeping our internet top-notch.
Compare this to having DSL or a cable modem, where you're stuck having to
call an 800 number and hope the person on the other end can at least speak
understandable English.
